About the client

Emma is a Facebook ads coach, agency owner and best-selling author.

She helps both businesses and freelancers cut through the Facebook fog with high-converting ads that actually get results.

Emma runs a very successful Facebook Adcelerator course, for social media managers, three times a year.

Preceding each course cohort, she runs a free three-day masterclass challenge to share her knowledge and insight into the full offering on the main Adcelerator course.

The brief

Emma’s brief was two-fold. She firstly wanted to increase sign-ups for the masterclass, but also boost the show-up rate and engagement during the three-day challenge. She was keen to explore chat marketing via Manychat and FB Messenger to assess the impact it could have on her results With email open rates hovering at 20% and FB Messenger open rates standing at a steady 80%, Emma knew people wouldn’t ignore a message in Messenger.

The strategy

Over the course of several different masterclasses, we implemented a range of chat marketing strategies using Manychat through FB Messenger. These included:

1. Attaching the Comment Growth Tool to her organic Facebook posts. This meant people could comment the keyword and this would activate the sign-up flow.

2. On successful sign-up, the user was asked to sign up to the Reminder flows, included on the confirmation email and pinned inside the free Facebook group. 

3. This meant they could receive timely messages delivered via FB Messenger just minutes before the live training to remind them to show up.

4. Outside of the live event, quizzes, built into chat flows, were posted in the free Facebook group to increase engagement and cement learning.

Mel has built out several chatbot flow for us. One – using the Comment Growth Tool on an organic Facebook post – led to 90% taking the intended action. Incredible results!

In addition, the Event Reminders increased the ‘show up’ rate to the live trainings and the quizzes we used in our FB group helped boost engagement and cement the groups’ learning. We have had great feedback!
