Working with parents with children from 0-4 years old, The Sleep Chief has a range of free and paid services to help parents reclaim their sense of identity, reconnect with their partner and provide the freedom to enjoy life and parenting fully.

The brief
Emily is an entrepreneur in growth mode. Her current Instagram content for The Sleep Chief was already generating great engagement – and she was already dabbling with Manychat flows.
However, her existing flows were only sending people to a link and Emily knew that by getting opt-ins within the DMs, she would be able to achieve a higher conversion rate and build her list – and her business – faster.
She wanted to build strategic flows for each of her main free offers that captured user details within the DMs and bridge that information straight over to her CRM in Klaviyo. In addition, she wanted to highlight her paid-for offer suite and ensure that the customer journey was not only seamless – but also simple. With an audience of predominantly super tired parents, flows needed to be quick, easy to follow – and convert!
The strategy
During month one, after the initial strategy call, each of the three ‘freebie’ lead generating flows were built out, gathering users’ name and email addresses within the DMs.
For each flow, four triggers were attached via keyword: post and reel trigger, the story reply trigger, a direct DM and also the Instagram live trigger. This would enable the team complete flexibility to manage their future content, knowing that no additional triggers would be needed.
Once users had completed this flow, it unlocked access to a discounted upsell to one of The Sleep Chief’s paid-for guides.
In addition, product galleries were built out for paid-for services, and everything was also connected into Conversation Starters and the Main Menu. This enabled new and existing followers to immediately access offers – and free up the team from the inbox.
Once the new flows went live, the client saw an immediate uplift in leads, sales and engagement. Over the next few weeks, the flows were optimised to gather more unique user data – mum’s due date or baby’s date of birth – within the DMs, allowing for further segmentation within Klaviyo going forward.
